UN-GAID (GNV w/ EDC, Sept.07)

God do I hate acronyms! Full descriptions are for your mission statement, not for your name. I detest buzz words too, but if you Must use them, reserve them for grant proposals and speeches you don't intend anyone to really listen to. Or if you're feeling devious, use them to take control of a board that doesn't know any better (which, if you've stopped caring, is quite entertaining).
UN-GAID = United Nations - Global Alliance for ITC (Information Communication Technology) for Development. They'd also occasionally use ITC4D for the last part of that.
Acronyms are getting to be like Snakes on a Plane: so descriptive and yet so simpleton that they make fun of themselves. They're a pissing contest.
